Philosophy of Language


This course is an upper level philosophy of language course taught mostly to philosophy and linguistics students covering classics of 20th century anglo philosophy of language. Topics covered include meaning, reference, pragmatics, the rule-following paradox, illocutionary silencing, and fictional discourse.
